› Rumor: Blu-ray drives coming to 360?

Since the format wars has finally ended and Blu-ray came out on top, it seems rumors continue to develop on the idea of the Xbox 360 incorporating Blu-ray. Apparently Digitimes is reporting the company Lite-On is developing a built-in Blu-ray drive for the Xbox 360.

According to the report, these new drives will begin shipping during the second half of this year. Lite-On is currently the supplier for all the DVD-ROMs currently used in the Xbox 360. These drives apparently are being developed for the next-generation Xbox 360 game consoles.

So far Lite-On has not commented on these accusations, which makes this only a rumor thus far but if true will make many 360 owners happy.
