The game-themed comic franchise Penny Arcade has gained more than cult-status on the internet, but its popularity is destined to grow as it moves onto the console-screen.

That's right: the first game inspired by the Gabe and Tycho internet-based strip will be released this fall on the PlayStation Network according to PS3 Fanboy. The action platformer with RPG elements known as Penny Arcade Adventures: Episode 1 debuted earlier this year for the PC and via Xbox Live Arcade.
